An Assistant Manager will be involved in everyday business and must represent the Company with professionalism. You will have the primary goal of supervising personnel and building a “team” atmosphere to increase store rentals, sales, and productivity in all areas of operations. As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily activities. Other responsibilities and duties include controlling all inventory, sales, service and returns, assisting with hiring, scheduling, evaluating and training of all employees. An Assistant Manager is also the acting manager in the Store Manager’s absence. The Assistant Manager position also requires the ability to perform all store procedures including the following:
· Setting the example of an executive
· Promoting the Company
· Training for the position of Store Manager
· Keep entire store, showroom and backroom, clean and organized
· Ensuring that all Company Policies and Procedures are followed
To help you and your career the following is helpful and preferred; Sales, Retail, Restaurant, Customer Service Management experience or previous Rental Purchase Industry Management experience and possess a willingness to grow and learn. Outgoing personality and Customer Service skills are also necessary to be successful. An Assistant Manager must be able to supervise and work well with others. You also must have excellent verbal and communication skills, problem-solving ability and a self-motivated attitude.
